We are right back into the swing of things in class. We will be starting a new reading unit, and the kids are writing up a storm everyday. We are also starting an Winter Olympics unit and will be focusing on Multiple Intelligences.
In math we are continuing our study of fractions; comparing them , doing word problems with them, and even adding and subtracting them. The kids are excited about the culture study we are doing in social studies. Each student has been placed in a different group and will be studying a culture and how that group of people has had an impact on America. Then they will be presenting what they have learned in the class. (Don't worry, this is an in class project. Students are allowed to gather information at home or the local library, but they are not required to.) Lastly, it is Science Expo time again. You should have received a packet about what is expected for the project as well as a timeline outlining when different parts of the project are due. We are really excited to see what each child chooses to do for their project.Our students in our class continually keep us laughing and learning. Thank you for sharing your children with us.
